Thailand boasts a host of luxurious retreatsPeople who are considering booking flights to Thailand may be convinced by a selection of some of the country's most desirable luxury resorts and hotels.

Travel experts at the Irish Independent have compiled a list of the ten best in the nation, which ranges from boutique hotels in Bangkok to exotic island retreats.

At the top of the list is the Six Senses Hideaway on the island of Koh Samui.

The resort is made up of a series of wooden villas, which all have stunning views across the water to neighbouring islands.

According to the news provider, "the vast infinity pool has one of the most dazzling vistas in Thailand" and it was quick to praise the resort's "gastronomic restaurant".

Other locations that could appeal to holidaymakers booking flights to Thailand include the isolated Muthi Maya Khao Yai and Amanpuri in Phuket, which is situated in a coconut plantation and boasts its own private beach as well as a "spectacular spa".

Editor of thetravelmagazine.net Sharron Livingston recently advised travellers to negotiate over hotel room rates as many luxury resorts are now prepared to lower prices.
