New travel report urges cheap flights to Thailand customers to be carefulThe latest British Behaviour Abroad report has revealed that many Brits are still failing to take out adequate insurance when they head overseas – and those taking cheap flights to Thailand may be interested in figures which show that travellers to the nation were the group in need of most assistance.

According to figures from the survey, which is based on the number of incidents reported by British people abroad to Foreign Office branches worldwide, 957 people required help when in Thailand between April last year and March 2010.

Such a figure could highlight the need for tourists taking cheap flights to Thailand to get proper insurance, as medical costs and other expenses could be more expensive than people imagine.

"The worrying fact is that so many of these situations are preventable. Helping out Britons in trouble abroad is part of our job, but we can't get you out of jail or pay your hospital bills," warned Foreign and Commonwealth office minister Jeremy Browne.

Despite the figures, Thailand is an incredibly popular holiday spot with Brits, tempted to visit by stunning beaches and great weather.
