Travellers with heart problems shouldnt write off holidaysThose who have suffered with heart problems in the past should not be put off getting a cheap flight to Thailand and enjoying a holiday.

According to insurance firm LV, those who have had such health issues should not "write off" going on holiday. Spokeswoman for the firm Emma Holyer pointed out that people can still get holiday insurance cover despite previous medical problems and said that there are a wide range of firms willing to cover those with heart conditions.

Her comments follow a report from the British Cardiovascular Society, Fitness to Fly, which showed that there are very few heart conditions which stop someone from taking a flight abroad, which could interest those looking at cheap flights to Thailand.

"There's a little bit of a misconception amongst consumers that if you have had any kind of medical problems you are going to struggle. That isn't really the case," Ms Hoyler reassured.
