Tim Wapshott, writing for the Metro, explained that the Thai island of Samui is a destination for anyone looking to have a cookery lesson on the local delicacies.

Bhundhari Spa Resort & Villas hosts the special courses which allow visitors to cook their own lunch, while taking in the hotel's stunning beach location.

The resort's executive chef, Shaun Venter, explained that the lessons have proved very popular with guests, especially newlyweds looking to discover the secrets of great Thai dishes.

"It is impossible to do a decent Thai curry outside of Thailand since dried ingredients work nowhere near as well. All the seafood we use is fresh and we have some of the best and meatiest crabs, prawns and squid in the world," explained Mr Venter.

The Centara-run resort is located on the beach of Chaweng and has over 120 deluxe rooms and villas, with some benefitting from a private pool.
