Thailand praised for world-class spasThe wide choice of spas available to those taking flights to Thailand has been praised by the Wall Street Journal.

According to the report, there are a number of top quality spa resorts on offer in the region that can meet the needs of most travellers.

Firstly, the Spa Resorts Samui Beach in Koh Samui offers special three-day and week-long retreats that allow holidaymakers to detox and relax.

"Guests stay in Robinson Crusoe-like bungalows at the beach, and doctors are available on-site throughout the entire process," explained Samantha Arnold, the regional vice president of Aroma Therapy Associates in Asia.

Other options include the Six Senses Sanctuary Phuket, where the menu is limited to pescatarian or raw options to help detox the body.

Meanwhile, Thailand's Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa has won the Thailand Bartender Championship 2010.
