Six Senses Resorts & Spas won five awards at the recent World Travel Awards.

Well-regarded throughout the industry, the World Travel Awards are designed to highlight the top travel attractions, resorts and services worldwide and could be useful information for those planning to take flights to Thailand.

Six Senses was revealed as Asia's leading resort brand at the awards ceremony held in New Delhi. The company also picked up a number of awards for its resorts in both Thailand and Vietnam.

Six Senses Samui was named Asia's leading honeymoon resort, while Evason Hua Hin was picked as Thailand's leading resort.

Sonu Shivdasani, chairman and chief executive officer of Six Senses Resorts & Spas, said: "Every member of my team recognises how prestigious The World Travel Awards is ... we are quite simply delighted and very proud to have received five awards."

There are currently seven Six Senses resorts in Thailand and the company is planning to open new spas in Spain, Vietnam and the Maldives in the near future.
