Hong Kong a city of contrastsPeople booking flights to Hong Kong can enjoy a number of different things, the city's tourism board has said.

Dawn Page, UK and northern Europe director for the organisation, said that Hong Kong is a "city of contrasts".

She listed several activities that travellers to the Asian destination could enjoy.

"I always tell people to get up early, stroll through Victoria Park and watch people starting their day with a Tai Chi session. It's so relaxing and a complete contrast to the usual bright lights and bustle of Hong Kong," the representative explained.

"A trip on the Star Ferry is also a must. But sit downstairs to get the true experience. You get one of the best views of the harbour, especially at night when buildings on both sides of the harbour are lit up."

Last week, a report from STR Global revealed that hotel occupancy in the Asia-Pacific jumped at the end of 2010.
