Take part in the Bangkok midnight run Travellers on flights to Bangkok who love to run could take part in a race with an interesting twist during their stay.

The Amari Midnight Run takes place in the Thai city every year and is the only race tone held in the city at night.

Staged this year on October 8th, competitors can choose to take part in either a 6km or 12km race which are run along the closed streets of the city.

Even though it takes place in the middle of the night, people still line the route to cheer on the competitors.

The winner will take home a trophy, while every competitor will receive a T-shirt.

Entrance to the race costs 300 baht (£6.18), while those who pay 1,000 baht will also be entered into a prize draw to win international airline tickets.

There could be a lot of people on flights to Bangkok, as the city's international airport reported seeing 47 million passengers in the past year.
