Hotel Espana

The hotel Espana was opened in 1859 under the name Fonda de Espana.The work was deservedly recognised by Barcelona City Council when, in 1904, it awarded the hotel with its Diploma of Honour for “best establishment decorated in the artistic-ornamental style”. The hotel has 82 comfortable spacious rooms that combine modern interior design with the classicism of a nineteenth century building.

Room Types

• Standard

  Standard rooms are Comfortable rooms ranging in size from 15 to 21m² in a contemporary style. They have views to the outside or to a beautiful courtyard.

• Deluxe

  These are Comfortable and light rooms in a contemporary style ranging in size from 21 to 26m². All of our Deluxe rooms are on the exterior with balconies that overlook the famous Ramblas.

  

• Executive

  They are larger size, around 30m² and balconies with views of the Old Town, make these rooms an ideal place to fully enjoy your stay in the historic centre of Barcelona. They also have a beautiful private patio.

• SUITE

  A larger room than the Executive. It is Comfortable with contemporary decoration and a large living area. It has a spacious bathroom with a rain-effect and chromatherapy shower cubicle, as well as a hydro massage bath.
