Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives

Sun Siyam Olhuveli is a stylish resort offering the archetypal Maldives holiday experience in 2023/2024. It spans three picture-perfect islands in the South Male Atoll, one of which is adults-only.

Reached by a 45-minute speedboat ride from Male International Airport, it’s in a prime location for experiencing the Maldives’ underwater delights; the local reef is ideal for snorkelling, you can explore hidden underwater caves, shipwrecks, and swim amongst colourful coral and marine life.

There are lots of water-based activities to choose from, including snorkelling safaris, windsurfing, lagoon diving and sunset dolphin cruises. Guests can enjoy luxurious touches such as morning beachside massages and champagne canapés at sunset.

Accommodation ranges from traditional Maldivian–inspired suites to sleek modern villas. Opt for an overwater villa and you have your own sun deck with loungers and a swim-up platform offering direct lagoon access.

There are three pools to choose from, including an adults-only infinity pool with endless ocean views. A selection of stylish bars and restaurants are dotted around the island, so you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to drinking and dining.

• Deluxe rooms:

  Deluxe Rooms have either a spacious beachfront terrace or a private balcony with panoramic views. A king-size bedroom leads to a bathroom with a walk-in shower and dressing area. The warm waters of the lagoon are mere steps away.

  

• Deluxe Water Villa:

  Overwater villas in a traditional Maldivian style, with the added luxury of a private sundeck with an outdoor jacuzzi tub and steps leading into the lagoon. King-size beds are positioned to best appreciate the views, and bathrooms feature a freestanding tub.

  

• GRAND BEACH VILLA

  These 80-square-metre villas are decorated with crisp, contemporary decor. They feature spacious open-air bathrooms and a private beachfront terrace with a dining area, a daybed and sun loungers. Sleeps three adults or two adults and two children.

  

• GRAND BEACH VILLA WITH POOL

  These villas boast private pools and spacious outdoor lounge areas with a comfy sofa, dining table and sun loungers. Inside, a king-size bedroom with an alcove daybed leads to an outdoor bathroom with a rain shower. 

  

• GRAND BEACH SUITE WITH POOL

  Ideal for families, couples who want some extra space, or small groups of friends. Featuring a separate lounge, a large king-size bedroom, indoor and outdoor daybeds, dining area, sun loungers and a private pool right on the beach.

  

• TWO BEDROOM BEACH SUITE

  A roomy villa that sleeps six adults, or four adults and two children. Lush vegetation gives a feeling of privacy and seclusion. Features two king-size bedrooms that lead directly to the beach, and spacious outdoor bathrooms. The spacious beachfront veranda has a plunge pool and sun loungers.

  

• WATER VILLA

  Traditional-style villas built over the lagoon. Private sundecks have sun loungers and steps leading directly into the water. Sleeps three adults or two adults and one child.

  

• GRAND WATER VILLA

  Overwater villas decorated in a contemporary style, offering a mix of indoor and outdoor living. They feature a spacious deck looking out over the lagoon, with a dining table, sun loungers and a comfy daybed. Inside are a king-size bedroom and a bathroom with a large tub and separate walk-in shower.

  

• GRAND WATER VILLA WITH POOL

  Stunning overwater villas with spacious, fully furnished decks and a private pool. Outside features include a dining area, daybed, sun loungers and steps into the lagoon. Inside are king-size bedrooms, an alcove daybed and a luxurious bathroom.

  

• PRESTIGE JACUZZI WATER VILLA

  Lavish overwater villas that offer total privacy and plenty of space for relaxation. Large sundecks have a sunrise-view jacuzzi, while indoors is a separate living room and luxurious light-filled bathrooms. Sleeps three adults or two adults and two children.

  

• PRESIDENTIAL WATER SUITE

  The resort’s largest and most luxurious overwater suite. Set at the furthest end of the jetty, it features a huge deck with areas for bathing, dining and lounging. Inside are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living room with uninterrupted ocean views.
