Overview

Set on the northwest coast of Mauritius, this resort offers luxury accommodation in a beautiful setting surrounded by verdant tropical gardens. Staying at the InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort you’ll be within a short drive from the shops and cultural sites of Port Louis, the nightlife and restaurants of Grand Baie, and the superb Pamplemousses Botanical Garden. Equally well-suited for the perfect Mauritius holiday for couples and families in 2026/2027, the resort offers 210 ocean-facing rooms and suites alongside lots of options for on-site dining and activities.

The resort has a gorgeous white-sand beach and two ocean-view infinity pools, one with an adjoining children’s pool. There’s a wealth of water-based activities on offer, including complimentary snorkelling, kayaking and an introduction to scuba diving. The resort can also arrange sunset catamaran cruises, dolphin watching trips and big-game fishing excursions.

Other ways to stay active during your stay include a high-tech fitness centre, a lit tennis court, a scenic jogging track, and volleyball and soccer on the beach. Younger travellers can join a variety of fun activities at the Planet Trekkers kid’s club. There are two separate programmes: one for kids between four and seven, and another for those aged eight to twelve.

Choose from four themed restaurants: an all-day buffet, Asian fusion, oceanside seafood, and Indian fine dining. There are also two picture-perfect bars with views of the pool and ocean. In the evenings, guests can enjoy Sega dance performances and live singers and musicians.
