Southall Travel named top travel company in the 2015 Sunday Times Top Track 250 awards

Southall Travel, one of the UK's leading travel companies celebrates another landmark achievement today, named in the 11th annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table awards for Britain’s leading mid-market private companies by sales.

In the prestigious awards dinner held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, Southall Travel was ranked in 48th position, making it the highest ranked travel agency and tour operator in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 list of UK companies.

During the past financial year, the travel company’s turnover has grown by £65 million to £420 million.

The combined sales of the 250 companies in the league table was equivalent to 4% of the UKs GDP and the dinner was addressed by the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP.

Ranked 87th in 2013 Southall Travel’s 48th position in 2015 shows consistent and outstanding growth. Other companies in the industry sector included Lotus Group ranked in 71st position and Hays Travel which was ranked in 105th position.
