Goa Airport Guide
(GOI)<< Find Goa Flights
As you gaze out of your flight at the sparkling blue seas of Goa, the premiere beach destination of India, and finally land at The Goa International Airport with its no frills relaxed ambience, you get an inkling of the laidback vacation that awaits you beyond the airport.
Goa Airport Address: Dabolim, Goa, India.
Website and Telephone: To access information about the airport or flights, you may visit the airport website at http://www.aai.aero/allAirports/goa_generalinfo.jsp or call the airport helpline +91-832-540 806.
Time Zone: GMT + 5.5
Terminal Information: Presently, a single airport building houses the two terminals serving domestic and international flights. Both terminals have an information desk. With Goa’s mounting popularity and increasing tourist influx, work is being carried out on the construction of a third terminal.
Airport Connectivity
Cab Service: A pre-paid cab counter outside the terminal building facilitates hassle free commuting.
Bus Service: There are local buses to Vasco da Gama and Chicalim, but the frequency is not too good. Shuttles or local minibuses are available for Panaji (Penjim), the capital of Goa. Bus services make for a very cheap transport option.
Rail: Goa has a well connected local and national railway network. The railway station nearest to the airport is at Vasco da Gama.
Car Park: There is a small parking area near the terminal building. Approximately 120 vehicles can be parked here.
Food & Beverage: The domestic terminal has a fine restaurant, while snacking joints dot both the terminals.
Shopping: For last minute shopping, one may stop at the duty free shops selling distilled water, toiletries, electronic goods, liquor, cigarettes, watches, and a host of other items.
Medical: Basic first aid is available at the airport. Baby changing rooms are there as well.
Money, Banking, Postal and Telecommunications: The terminal building also offers money exchange booth services, banking facilities, and postal and telephony services.
Airport Hotels: You can book expensive as well as budget hotels from the Arrivals area of the airport. The Bogmallo Beach Resort, about 4 kms from the airport, is the nearest hotel.
Luggage: You can take luggage trolleys to haul your luggage. No fees are charged for using trolleys.
Facilities for Passengers with Special Needs: The availability of wheelchairs provides relief to passengers with special needs. Here again, there are no charges for wheelchair usage.
