Things to do on a Chiang Mai honeymoon

Aside from the enjoying the spa facilities at your hotel, there is a wealth of activities for you and your partner to enjoy in Chiang Mai. Be sure to visit Wat Phan Tao, a stunning teakwood temple dating from the 14th century. Wat Chiang Man is the city’s oldest temple – established in the late 13th century – and is known for its giant gilded Buddhist statues.

A short bike ride from the city will take you to lush green rainforest, where you and your partner can trek past picture-perfect waterfalls and gorges. To the east of the Old City is where you’ll find some of Chiang Mai’s best markets – a riot of sights, sounds and smells where you can buy almost anything. When dusk falls, head to the Night Bazaar, where you can pick up all manner of mementos and try some seriously good street food.

To the north you’ll find Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium, as well as some fascinating museums.For more wildlife encounters, head to the Elephant Nature Park, where you can get up close to these gentle giants in an ethical way.
