Busy Pattaya Beach is a popular choice, but if you’re looking for something a little quieter, try the southern end of nearby Jomtien Beach. Lined with palm trees, the waters here are calmer, and there are lots of leisure facilities within easy reach. From here you’ll also have access to family attractions such as Ramayana Waterpark – the biggest in Thailand – and the Cartoon Network Amazone.
The whole family will enjoy an excursion to Wat Phra Khao, also known as Big Buddha Hill. Here you can explore a temple complex and marvel at the giant golden Buddha statue. Be sure to visit the Sanctuary of Truth, an intricately carved wooden structure that’s somewhere between a temple and castle. Other family-friendly things to do in Pattaya include an elephant sanctuary, a tropical botanical garden, and a famous floating market.
