Pompano Beach Club

This 75-room resort’s hilltop setting is one of Bermuda’s most stunning. Consequently, all of its major amenities -- three restaurants, two bars, a lounge, a pool, three Jacuzzis, a boathouse, a game room, a small spa, and a fitness center – feature expansive ocean views and quick beach access. But killer vistas aren’t enough to save the dated decor and worn furnishings in the rooms and communal areas, which are in dire need of updates. Rates are higher than at some newer resorts with better rooms and amenities.

Room Types

• Lower Snapper Suite

  All four of these suites are located on the first floor of the Snapper Suites building. Each has a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate living room with a sofa bed and sitting area. Both the bedroom and living room areas have cable television. Sliding glass doors open onto a private balcony. A ceramic-tiled bathroom is located off the hallway between the bedroom and living room areas. The oceanviews are from the living room area (not the bedroom) and are somewhat obstructed by the Dolphin House accommodation building in front of it (hence the term "partial" oceanviews).

• Superior Room

  Each superior room has a king-size bed, sitting area, ceramic-tiled bathroom and sliding glass doors which open onto a private patio or balcony. These rooms are situated at different levels on the hillside and offer panoramic oceanviews. Superior rooms can sleep up to three people (using the king-size bed and a rollaway bed), although a family of four can be accommodated if a crib is added. Only one rollaway bed can be added to each superior room.

• One Bedroom Suite

  Each suite has a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate living room with a sofa bed and sitting area. Both the bedroom and living room areas have cable television. Sliding glass doors open onto a private patio or balcony. A ceramic-tiled bathroom is located off the hallway between the bedroom and living room areas. These suites are situated at different levels on the hillside and offer panoramic oceanviews from the living room area (not the bedroom).

• Deluxe Room

  Each deluxe room is located oceanfront and has a king-size bed (which can be separated into two twin beds upon request), 42" flat screen tv and sitting area with loveseat, lounge chair, coffee table and end table. Stylish new dark wood furniture was added in April 2013 to all 37 deluxe rooms – with granite tops on the tables, tv cabinet, dresser and nightstands. Each deluxe room has a spacious ceramic-tiled bathroom, with double sinks, separate tub & shower. Sliding glass doors open onto a large private patio or balcony. The deluxe rooms offer breathtaking oceanviews due to their close proximity to the resort's spectacular waterfront. Deluxe rooms can comfortably sleep up to three people when the loveseat's twin-size sleeper sofa is used and a family of four can be accommodated as well by adding a crib or rollaway bed to the room. All accommodations are non-smoking.

• Townhouse Units

  The resort has one 2 bedroom/2 bathroom townhouse unit named “Sailfish” and two 3 bedroom/3 ½ bathroom townhouses named “Rockfish” and “Bonita”. All three townhouses have full kitchens and spacious oceanview living areas. They are located next to each other, on the hill above the “Snapper Suites” and “Cuda Cottage” buildings. The townhouses are ideal for large families or couples traveling together. They are rented on a nightly, space available basis.
