After breakfast city tour of Old and New Delhi includes a visit to the Qutab Miner, the Red Fort, Jama Masjid Mosque, Chandni chowk bazaar, India Gate and a drive past the President’s Palace.

Morning leave for Agra pausing en route at Sikandara to see the tomb of Akbar. Afternoon city tour visiting the Taj Mahal and the fort. Overnight in Agra.

Drive to Bishangarh visiting en route the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri with its forts, palaces and mosques. Continue to the famous Bishangarh Fort (Alila Fort Bishangarh), a 230 year old warrior fort, now a well-known heritage hotel. Overnight stay will be at Bishangarh. 

Today, you drive towards Amer Town on the rugged hills surrounding Jaipur, popular for its magnificent fort, the Amer Fort. Overlooking a lake, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is popular for its large ramparts and series of gates as well as cobbled paths that lead to the top. Next, you move towards Jaipur, the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Stay here for two nights. 

City tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace complex, Museum, Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), Janter Manter, the largest stone observatory in the world. Afternoon free.

Leave for Kota, visiting en route Bundi. Founded in 1342, it lies well protected within the Aravali hills. Visit the Chatter Mahal, a stunning palace fort. Drive on to Kota and visit the Madho Singh Museum, which houses a fine collection of miniature paintings. Overnight stay in Kota.

Drive to the lake city of Udaipur visiting en route Chittorgarh to see the spectacular fort, lauded in legends of valour and chivalry. Visit the Padmanis palace, Tower of Victory and Tower of Fame. Two nights stay in Udaipur.

Udaipur, the city of shimmering lakes and palaces, was founded by Maharaja Udai Singh in 1567 and is still very much a traditional Rajput town. City tour includes a visit to the City Palace complex, the Museum, the impressively carved Jagdish temple built in 1651 and Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of Maids of Honour). Optional boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Morning drive into the Aravali hills to visit the 15th century spectacular Jain temple at Ranakpur, noted for its outstanding sculpture. Continue on to Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan, founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Overnight in Jodhpur.

Morning city tour visiting the Mehrangarh Fort that dominates the city, Jaswant Thada and the magnificent Umaid Bhavan Palace. Afternoon drive to the ancient city of Jaisalmer, one of India’s most exotic towns. Two nights stay in Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer lies in the heart of the desert. Morning tour visiting the imposing 12th century fort and the imposing Jain temples with intricate and delicate carvings. Evening visit Sam Sand Dunes. Dinner and cultural program at the dunes (October March).

Drive to Bikaner. Afternoon visit to the 16th century Junagarh Fort with its palaces, mosaic courtyards, carved balconies and temples. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

A safari to Bishnoi village to see the lifestyle and culture of the Bishnoi people in their rural environment. Then on to Mandawa in the Shekhavati region. Shekhavati is renowned for its havelis (traditional houses with interior courtyards). Overnight stay in Mandawa.

Morning tour of Mandawa. Explore the beautiful havelis with ornately decorated interiors and exteriors in colourful frescos and paintings depicting lives of the local people in the 19th century. Afternoon drive to Delhi for one night.

Transfer to the International airport in Delhi towards your onward journey to UK with sweet memories.
