Jakarta is a labyrinth of unique sites such as revered temples, intriguing cultural centre, fascinating museums and much more. You can start your tour from the enchanting temples like Alun-Alun Puputan, Palace of Satria and the Royal Temples, Jagatnata Temple and Maospahit Temple. Then make way for spectacular spots namely Lapangan Puputan Margarana, Bali Museum, Sidik Jari Museum, Taman Wedhi Budaya Cultural Centre and Taman Budaya. Denpasar is also popular as the finest destination to immerse into the cultural splendour of Bali. You can also plan your visit to dance, puppet theatre and art exhibitions held around the city.
The dry season months from April to October are the best times to visit Denpasar and Bali. It is a high season with salubrious weather making for a great time to venture out. It is an ideal time ripe for outdoor activities and partaking in cultural jamborees. The months of July and September are in fact the most popular times with flurry of festivities of Chinese New Year and Easter week. But at the same time, it is the most expensive season with expensive flights and accommodations. Period from January to the mid June and mid September to mid December is relatively a low season preferred by a number of budget travellers.
Bali is a tourist-friendly destination. However, travellers must take care of the certain travel aspects for their safety and health. Always keep your belongings in hotels and keep your camera strapped. Beware of common scams and thefts. It is always sensible to use only authorised money changers that have proper offices and always take a receipt. Bali in Indonesia follows harsh penalties against, export, trafficking and possession of illegal drugs. Always watch out for such crimes. Several beaches have red flag planted in the sand, which are the warning of dangerous rip currents. Do not swim across such beaches.
