    After landing in Hanoi, you will be met and greeted by your guide. Upon transfer to your hotel, you are free to spend the remainder of the day at will. Overnight stay at a local hotel in Hanoi. 

  • Day 2 Hanoi

    After breakfast, you will leave the hotel for your full-day excursion of Hanoi. Start at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Vietnamese Revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh. This beautiful marble edifice has been fashioned after the Lenin Mausoleum in Moscow. The mausoleum remains closed on Monday and Friday as well as between mid-September and mid-December for regular restoration and preservation of the presidential remains in Russia. Dress modestly and read on the appropriate conduct to be practised in the museum before your visit. Next, explore the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology where you can learn about 54 different ethnic groups in Vietnam. The museum features tribal art and artefacts from across Vietnam; it remains closed on Mondays. Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius, and the site of Vietnam’s first university is next on your list for today. A fine example of Vietnamese architecture, the temple is popular among students who come here to prayer for good grades. The last stop on your itinerary today is the Old Quarter, a maze of busy streets dating back to the 13th century and characterised by its temples, markets, goods store, traffic and crowds of tourists. Also, check the nearby Sword Lake before you head back to your Hanoi hotel for overnight stay.

    Start in the direction of Hai Phong early in the morning. Upon arrival here towards the end of the morning, board the cruise to the Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from Got Ferry Terminal in the Haiphong City. You will cross the stunning Cat Ba Island, Bai Tu Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay on your way to reach the Halong Bay. Spend overnight on the cruise.

  • Day 4 Halong Bay - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

    Start your day on a high note by taking a Tai Chi, a Chinese martial arts class in the morning before breakfast. You can continue the adventure by going for kayaking before returning to Got Ferry Terminal in Hai Phong. Disembark from the cruise late in the morning and drive back to Hanoi from where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Danang. Upon reaching Danang, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Hoi An. Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Following breakfast, you will board a private vehicle and set upon the discovery of Hoi An. Arrive at the Cua Dai Pier for a boat ride to the Thu Bon River. Your boat then moves towards a fishing village where you hop on to a bamboo boat for the discovery of the lush mangrove forests. Next, enjoy a sumptuous BBQ seafood lunch at a local house. Under the blurry sunlight inside the forest, you might feel a mysterious atmosphere covering this whole area. This excursion also gives you a chance to admire skilful fishermen who are working in the forest. Enjoy a delicious BBQ seafood lunch at a lovely local house. In the town of Hoi An that you visit next, explore the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, and the Tan Ky Chinese-style trading house. Stop by ‘Reaching Out Teahouse’, located in the Old Quarter for refreshing yourself. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Leave Hoi An and from the Danang Airport, take your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to a local hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Day 8 Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh

    Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh

    Leave your hotel early in the morning for visiting the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels were originally dug by the Resistance force during the French Indochine War, but played a more prominent part for military campaigns during the Vietnam War. Spreading over many hundred kilometres, the tunnels had trapdoors, constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens during their peak, many of which remain still intact. Upon arrival here, you will be shown a documentary on the wars of 1960s-70s and the significant role of these tunnels during the war. You can then pass through narrow underground ducts in order to discover the rooms: offices, kitchens, meeting rooms, weapons stores and even hospitals. You will conclude your tour by tasting khoai my luoc (boiled cassava) that was eaten during the war every day for lack of other options. You will return to Ho Chi Minh City following your visit to the tunnels. In the afternoon, you be spending time exploring Saigon and its various attractions including the Reunification Palace or War Museum as well as the Ben Thanh market. Overnight stay at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 9 Mekong Delta

    Mekong Delta

    This day is reserved for the exploration of the Mekong Delta. You will be picked up from Phong Nam Pier for your cruise along the Chet Say River. You will get to familiarise yourself with the local life and economy by visiting the coconut charcoal factories, coconut processing shops where you can taste and learn about the use of coconut for making various food products. Crossing a canal, you will stop by a local village where you will be a witness to the process of mat weaving using a hand loom. You will be encouraged to try your hand at mat weaving. Next, you take Xe Loi (a motorized rickshaw) that will take you through farms and rice and vegetable fields. You will stop at a local house for lunch to savour delicacies such as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, served with the side of chilled beer. From here, you will go for the exploration of the narrow canals along the Mekong Delta on a sampan (a type of a boat). You will be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City by the end of the day for overnight stay in your hotel.
